We are opening with a new piece for the auction, with the proceeds going to the OSCC. There are two major sources of revenue for the Club – membership fees and auction proceeds. We are very fortunate to have donations from many – including Gordy Ensing, Phil Pothier, Denis Castilloux, Lew McKenzie and Peter Cartwright.
This piece up next is incredibly special as it is a numbered print 413/850 from artist Dion Pears 1929-1985 – look him up, he has had his art listed at Chrisites and Bonham’s.
It is 31″ wide X 25″ high, framed and pictures the 1966 Belgium F1 Grand Prix with John Surtees, who finished this race in P1 in the Ferrari (his last ride with them before going over to Cooper). The second car is Jochen Rindt finishing in P2 in the Cooper.
This piece does have a reserve and the auction will end at noon on Friday, March 27th.
LET THE BIDDING BEGIN!!!
EMAIL ME YOUR BID TO <TSDALE2@GMAIL.COM> AND I WILL POST IT WITHOUT YOUR NAME AS SOON AS RECEIVED.
